Default Cooper STT PRO Review

I will be picking up 5 of these in 31x10.5x15 this evening. Ive been eyeing them since they came out and have always been a Cooper Fan. Have ran the AT3's and MAXX's on my diesel and had the ST/C's on my work trucks, so i will be a guinea pig on these new treads. Will post pics when i get them mounted as well as specs and impressions.

I really have been wanting to go with these on my rig in the 315/75/16 size. Tread design looks on point and I love the side scallops on the tread blocks. Looking forward to review and more pics on these.

They should do pretty well. I am a little leary on how they will do on hard packed snow, but its an MT tire, not a winter tire. I suspect that in powder and deep snow they will do well with the amount of tread "blocks". i was on the fence between these and the STT's and the amount of variating "blocks" i think will give the Pro better snow traction over the STT.

I like the STT's too but the tread pattern was too tight for my taste. Though they look like a better packed snow/ice tire. STT looks like a agrressive all terrain like the dura-Trac. The STT Pro looks like a better mud terrain.

My only complaint would be i wish they measure a true 35" in the 315/75/16. I know most only measured at 34.8" but the Pro's measure 34.53" or 34.57"

I've been also considering the new Falken Mt

I too am thinking of picking up a set of these in 33x12.50r15 to replace my Duratracs. They look a lot like Duratracs, but with a more aggressive tread. So I'm pretty excited to give them a try.

i dont understand the purpose of the large scope thingy, or how it would work when the wear down. they look nasty aggressive.

They act as a rock ejector. the idea being to give the tread lug something to flex around the rock. Well i didnt get them last night, i found a few photos of 265/75/16's and really like that look, so now i am looking for some 16" 5x4.5's. I really don't want to run an adapter to fit JK wheels. Edit: I got the 31's. didnt want to wait and wanted to keep my articulation with a new lift coming.

Photos as promised. 31/10.5/15 mounted on a 8" rim at 30psi they measured 30.5" advertised at 30.75 unmounted. They have much better road manners than the piece of junk BFG ATs i had. Will give an off road test this weekend.

I agree. to those who think it looks like a Goodyear Duractrac(duracrap), i jsut dont see the resemblence. tread blocks are way to big, twice as deep of tread and the pattern is different. the Goodyear is an AT, and this tire is a MT/trail tire. The sidewalls are fairly stiff but thats to be expected of a brand new tire on a light vehicle with 3 ply crossing sidewalls. I got the extended no questions asked warranty, in which case, if i tear one tire, even off road, they replace all 5. This goes above Coopers warranty of pro-rating the tires. Normally i am not a whitewall fan, but it just looks good on these tires. Currently i have the fronts set at 32 and the rears set at 30. Drove the 35 miles to work this morning and they were very quiet, i am used to my howling BFG's. Will make a mountain trip Sunday to test them out in their element.
