Well, mince it's in the bellhousing all it's gonna do is allow dirt and grime get in there. That part of the trans doesn't hold fluid and isn't air tight anyways. I would just though some duct tape over it. Lol.

Someone cut that there. For what reason, i can't say. Maybe to.get to the torque converter bolts easier?

Definitely cut, you can see the rounded edges where they drilled to get it started, and a couple of spots where they started to drill, and stopped...they also overcut the corners opposite that side. ONLY reason I can also think of is to get to the TC/flexplate bolts.

OP, I would get a small plate of aluminum, cut to fit with overlap, drill holes, and add helicoils. Actually, I would weld it if I had a spoolgun, but I'm guessing you don't have one either, LOL

Yeah. You can cover it with some sheet aluminum and screw it on

Someone cut that hole,Why i have no idea but dumb people do dumb things like that. The right way is to replace the trans,But like said you can patch it with tape or a piece of metal and small screws.

They probably dropped a CPS bolt into the bell housing.
