BFG KM2 VS MTR Kevlar
Well I just got a smoking deal on tires today, I have a buddy who works at a big tire place and he said he can give me whatever they have in stock for half price. I was 100% dead set on MTR kevlars but they don't stock them in 33x12.50 and it would be a real pain for him to get them for me.
The only good offroad tire they have in that size is the BFG KM2's. My question is how are these tires, im looking for something with really stout sidewalls and great traction in mud and rocks both and will have at least ok treadwear. I don't care how loud it is or how it rides or anything just wondering if the KM2 can stand up the abuse I throw at tires, I've blown 3 tires in the time i've had my Jeep and im sick of slicing them.

I purchased a set of km2's at the beginning of Dec.
They work awesome on rocks (including wet rocks).
Sidewall blemishing is about typical, but, I have not chunked or cut one yet.
They work great on all types of gravel roads.
I'm not a mudder... what little mud I have been in they cleaned well and had good traction... but, I'm not really the one to ask regarding mud traction.
They ride awesome, track true and are way more quiet than I had expected.
I have not regrets having purchased them.
I've read of guys getting over 50k miles on a set of 5 under fullsized trucks.

They only have 5 of them in stock and his employee discount doesnt work if you have to order the tires, otherwise I would. I think im going with the BFG's they sound like good tires.

I ran KM2s size 35/12.5 r15 I split one sidewall, but other than having a lighter duty sidewall I liked them for rocks, trails and they were amazing in really deep snow.
As for tire height check the specs on tire rack, or other sites, my 35s were 34.8 which is the same height as Cooper STTs, and a couple of other brands.

Depends on what you drive on the most. The Mtrs are far better all around, the different tread patterns really make a huge difference compared to just one on the km2s. And you couldn't puncture them if you tried. They also last alot longer when driving on the road often, they lasted me alot longer than the km2s, on my f150 I had. I'd go with the kevlars. I think the km2s aren't near as good of a deal, there's a reason most ridiculously awesome off road vehicles in magazines and stuff run the kevlars. And If you puncture sidewalks then definetly go with them. They cost alot for good reason.
