Tape off what you don't want covered and paint. I used regular paint. Remove the headlights levels and tape off whatever is close to avoid overspread.

My concern is that since the headlights are constant on, and meant to throw light unlike tails, they should get much hotter than the tails. This heat doesn't or hasn't effected the paint that was used?

You could always use high temp paint if you are worried about it getting to hot

The best thing about this is some mineral spirits or paint stripper and it is undone. The bad thing is if you have to replace a headlight you have to do it over

ive seen people use electrical tape but i have always worried about that melting. i dont do much driving at night so dont think id have to worry about that anyway. i recently vht'ed my orange side marker lights and love how they look. ill eventually do the tail lights but as for eyelids i plan on using the night shade to tint some eyelids on that way light can still shine alittle bit through when the lights are on. i have seen painted black eyelids with vht'ed lights. so the whole light was black but when he turned on the lights you could see the eyelids..it was nasty..ill try to find a pic..sorry about the long post lol

I like the pattern i get a solid beam line.. but the company sent me two of the same.. not one left and one right.. i have two rights which dont make a left..
i upgraded the wire harness to the HD harness, and upgraded the pos and neg battery cables to 0-1 gauge.. add that with an optima red top.. i get good light output with cheapo h4s.
