Default motor problems

ok so i just bought 2 xjs one is a stock 91 and the other is a 96 with a 6 inch lift with 32'' the problem i am haveing is the 96 needed a motor so i bought the 91 i got every thing switched over but the motor isnt running right it idles fine some times and crappy other time and ever time i hit the gas it bogs out and pops and will barly move. it did the same thing in the 91 and i can't figure it out i cahanged the pugs wires feul filter and check the timeing thats good i am out of opoions can any one help me out

Wrong section but anyways. I just swapped a 96 engine in my 98 and had kind of the same issue. It turned out to be the #1 o2 sensor. It never threw a cel either. I would suggest unplugging it to see if that fixes your problem. If so replace the sensor. I still dont know why it decided to go bad when i swapped the engine out..

srry about the wrong section i am new to this lol and i only have one o2 sencor that i know of on the down pipe by the cross over

Unplug it and see if it helps. I figured mine had to be the o2 cause it only acted up when it got warmed up. And it reads off the o2 sensor when its hot.

ok i will have to do that and is it a change that i will notice right away¿the other prob i am having is wihen i did the motor swap i needed the tranny and t case and the wires for the tranny ant the same do i need them?

Yeah if it fixes it you will notice right away. I dont really know about the tranny cause in 96 they switched to obdII. Were your plugs for the sensors on the engine the same. Cause when I put the 96 engine in my 98 I had to switch all the sensors from the 98 engine to the 96 cause they all were all different..

ya all the plugs for the sensors were the same but three the one on the back of the head cuz i got gauges and the other jeep didnt so maybe i need to change all the sensor for a gauge cluster the oil pressure and the crank plugs but we cut and splist them together from the old harness and i got other plugs idk where they go lol
