300mm front brake upgrade
I have been researching what to do to upgrade my brakes since my lift and 33s. I have came across the 300mm upgrade from Australia and see where many got a much better deal than what I find now on ebay, which is the only place I cN find it available. I can't afford almost a grand and just wondering if anyone can help me out. Does anyone know a direct connection where to buy this kit and maybe put together a group buy or at least do better than what they are asking on ebay?

Stock brakes are poor at best with big tires and heavy bumpers, skid plates, winches, sliders, etc.
I don't think that those Australia brake kits are available. I saw a set on ebay once but the shipping was like $500.

Can't do much with the stock knuckles.
You can change to the old style XJ knuckles which reuses your ball joints, hub bearing, and steering. They have large lugs that the calipers bolt to.
Options then are mustang rotors and mustang calipers, sport trac rotors and mustang or WJ calipers, cobra or Shelby rotors and brembo calipers. All depend on your wheel size.

Okay. So, you've got the good brake booster and decent front brakes.
How about Black Magic pads on the front and converting to 94 to 98 ZJ rear discs with Black Magic pads also?
I'm assuming you have a Chrysler 8.25 rear end?
Easy as pie.

Is this going to yield me much more braking than I already have now? I am running 33x12.50 with winch and bumper and heavy rear bumper.

Good pads and rear discs will be a big improvement.

Seems excessive to buy 4 ugly 18" rims and added brake items when really he just needs to convert rear to discs, get better pads and possibly swap the PV. This worked for me plus brakes don't lock up as easily in wet situations like my old drums
