looks a lot like a scam, when the response email is 3 paragraphs of a soon to deploy military poerson, or recemtly divorced single mom try to go with it and mess with them for a while its kind of fun

the wording is right out of the SCAM book. as someone already said, have some fun with it. if they say they just went down to florida, tell'em you'll be there next week to see a cousin. when he says that next week he's gonna be in Seattle, tell'em your mama lives there, so you can come down there too. u catching my drift?

He sent me about 20 pictures inside and outside of the jeep. Told me it has a few scratches. I replied asking him which transfer case is in it and where exactly in FL he is. Still waiting for him to reply.

Total scam. These great lower priced newer vehicles all seem to be in Florida.

This is the e-mail I received earlier.

Hello and my apologizes for the delay,

First of all I would like to give you a complete description on my 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4x4 Laredo SE.
It has about 43,000 miles, 6 Cylinder Gasoline, 4 Speed Automatic, 4 wheel drive - rear, Blue Paint,VIN: 1J4GW48S31C540334, Super Clean, No DINGS, No Accidents, ALWAYS garage kept, service records up-to-date, lien has been paid off.
I want to be honest with you, the car is in perfect condition, but please expect some minor scratches and rock marks on the exterior. Because during normal usage of the vehicle on either the highway or city, this wear is unavoidable. The interior is impeccable and nobody smoked inside of it.
The car is registered in Florida and has a clear title. The price I am asking for it is $2,950.
You can find the rest of the pictures at this web address: http://img.villagephotos.com/p/2010-6/1357696/2135353

If you're interested let me know and I will get back to you as soon as I can.
Thanks.

Yea thats what gets me. All the other 2001 GC's I've searched are averaging $7000.00 stock.

LOL he just replied.

Thank you for replying,
I'm glad to see that you are interested, but before we make any plans I need to give you all the details. My name is Bryan Matthew and at the moment working on an oil rig in the Gulf of Mexico. Before I left I managed to sell it to gentleman near you. The price is low because I’m in a bit of a time crises and I need some cash fast. But when the car reached the destination, he was unable to pay for it because he didn't got the loan. In the meantime I left and I got stuck with the car at the shipping company.
Do to this unfortunate event I decide to use the help of AutoCheck Buyback Protection. I don't know if you heard of them but they have a similar service to Carfax. I signed up for the program and they offered to supervise the transaction and take care of the shipping process (if necessary). You will get a testing period between 1-3 days prior to purchase, title guard and many more. So to make this deal happen I must ask AutoCheck to send you the Terms and Conditions of the Buyback Protection, but before I do that I need your approval. Please remember that at this moment you have no obligations what so ever, just read the Transaction Term and after that let me know if you are interested in doing this sell.
If you agree please give me your full name, address and contact number(s) so that AutoCheck can register you as a potential buyer and sent you the terms and conditions.

Let me know if you have any questions and if you would consider of doing this sort of deal.
Thanks and take care.
