New to welding and just bought DIY JCR bumper. I have a Lincoln 110 mig. What wire would be best to use on this project?

Good assumption in a welding thread.
Well considering how threads go sideways it could be Hippie love beads

As to practice, even though having held four different welding jobs over the years, when you haven't welded (much) in years it's almost like being a newbie again.

Interesting design man. That's a good lookin' railroad spike knife! Is that a hand-crank billows on the bottom?

I'm thinking that welder wont have enough oumph. I was one last click from maxing out my 210amp on 250v.

I'd run .035 wire which will allow you to probably get the most amps out of it. Make sure your stick out is as tight as you can keep it without ruining consumables. I easily used about 3lbs of wire per bumper. Don't forget about your duty cycle. Also id get some scrap 3/16" and work on angling and filling corner joints.

Go for it man! If my welding skills and welder were that good, I wouldn't even "think" about it, I would just do it. lol
