It is a double 30. I check that before I bought the welder. What do you mean by 12/3 for the ground wire?

For the power feed. 2x12awg with a copper ground. I run 10/3. Also, you might want to check your local electrical code, I run a double 50 breaker, because that's code in my area...

10/3 is what I use too. I didn't think about code tho. Definitely check to see what code is.

It's pretty important. If you ever have a fire, your insurance claim can be rejected if the adjuster notices a lower than code breaker in your box, whether or not it had anything to do with the fire. It's a small thing that can save you A LOT of hardship down the road should anything bad happen. (heaven forbid, LOL)

This is the tank bottom I'm building. 18000 gallon fermenter! Takes a lot of beer to make these wine tanks lol

Yes I do! It's a small company R-Tanks only 2 employees and a owner. Keeps us pretty busy most of the year.

I've gotta ask, is there a big difference between a 170 amp and 180 am MIG welder?

Is it "100 dollar price difference" worth it?
