Spare tire carrier
Also in my lift adventures, I made up this. I cannot take full credit, I saw this on thread in here....I think the "What did you do to your Jeep today" and it was copy from an old bike rack. Whoever the member was, thank you for the idea. This is what I came up with:

Vibration is very slight. If you look close on pictures 1 and 2, you can see the grade 8 bolt on the side of the receiver. I drilled and tapped the hole, then double nutted it. It screws in tight against the hitch.
Cost?? Well, I dunno....it was scrap metal I had laying around. But I suppose if you were to price it, around 40 bucks materials and about 6 hours of your time? I consider my fabrication time my stress releif. Some people have other passtimes, I say get out a grinder and start slingin sparks everywhere!!!

Looks very nice. I want one for 1-1/4" hitch that would also accept a 1-1/4" bike rack. Don't think such a mount exists.
Had a few min and did this up in Visio. It is only a side shot, but the mechanics would be sound. Mitigating vibration I would use larger than needed bolts along with shims all the way thru the pivot which would eliminate quite a bit of vibes.

Looks Good.
I did something very simlar, except mine stradles the hitch so it can still be used.
The hitch is on a custom rear bumper I built.
Once I get my pictures downloaded I will do a build thread.

I don't really do a lot of towing, other then an aluminum Jet ski trailer a couple miles to the lake, but it would be a PITA to have to take the whole setup out to tow..
