Should have some updates to this next week. Unlikely that anything will be updated on the TC, but I'll be doing the bumper mounts inside the frame and installing the bumper and receiver.

Been slacking bad on this, but getting back to the bumper portion tomorrow more than likely.
Cut down some 2x2x.25 for the mounts and cut out the rear frame ends last weekend. Picked up a weld in receiver this afternoon. Gotta get my rear shackles on in the morning before I can mess with the bumper, but I should at least get the mounts inside the 2x5 and the receiver in.
I don't know that I'll have access to a drill tomorrow so I likely won't get it mounted since I can't weld the nuts to the mounts without the holes in them first. Other than that though I should get the bumper mostly done, though I'll still need to pick up some 2" .25" angle iron and 2x4x.25 plate for the latch and spindle mount.
I don't want to **** with taking the bumper off everytime I need to change bulbs so I'm going to weld the spindle to 1/4" plate then tap 4 holes in the plate and bumper giving me 1/2" of steel for bolts to hold the spindle and carrier down while still being removable. Doing the same for the angle iron on the drivers side for the the latch.

I still need to go back for the tire carrier, d ring tabs, and I'm going to add angle iron on the frame rail brackets to add bolts in the stock location to give it some more up and down stability. I'm confident in recovering from this as is, but I know it will bend up and down because I just notched 2x2x.25 tube. It's got 8 grade 8 bolts running through the frame rails as is.
Also excuse the paint, it wasn't as dry as I thought it was. Was pissed about it, but it's temporary to keep it from rusting anyway. I'll just sand the bad spots down tomorrow and respray. It's rubberized undercoating. Once I have it and the tire carrier totally done I'm either going to bedline both or have them powder coated.

My birthday was earlier this week so I went ahead and ordered some weld in clevis mounts and shackles from AtoZ fab this week. Gotta pick em up at the post office on Monday and will get em in sometime this week.
Bumps my total cost on this so far up to ~$80 lol

I got the clevis mounts monday or tuesday, just been busy and with it being dark out at 5 now had like no motivation to do anything after work.
Gonna go into the shop Saturday and put them in the bumper and finish capping the ends up.

The only thing I don't like about it is it makes the end of the quarter panels look weird where people usually do the cut, fold and rivet. I need to cut it out and weld in sheet metal to make it look right I suppose.

I don't know if I'm going to do the tire carrier or not anymore. More than likely going to chop the top off from the rear doors back in the spring and totally redo the rear end. If I do I'll tie a different carrier into the cage, but I'm still on the fence on what I want to do.
