RESURRECTION!
Finally decided to get off my butt and finish this project once and for all.
I picked up where I left off by adding these frame supports. Not my best welding night when I did this a few nights ago but it's solid!
I also added the first cross brace (finally!) and decided to make it a little pretty by squaring it off and capping the corners. Look closely and you can see the surface rust accumulated over the summer. Poor neglected Weld Cart. It will be getting paint soon!
So here's how it sits now...sorry the resurrection update isn't more exciting
I've ditched the idea of adding power to the cart for now and just going to rig up an extension cord. I'm also going to drill some big holes in the side bottom supports by the tank area to hopefully reduce some weight and make it look super cool, of course. Then all I'll need to do once I finish the top support is fab up some hangers for the gun and ground, handles, some sort of tank retainer for the gas and extinguisher. Almost there!

Cool build you have going, I didn't feel like starting from scratch so I used the base cart from a Harbor Freight rolling tool cart and went from there (I needed something for both my Tig &Mig units) .
I just need to get another tank for the Tig & add some proper hangers for the cables/torches/gun.
I may add a fire extinguisher to it also so it's always close by instead of hanging on the wall (I'd add another one in place of just having only just the one) .

As long as we're sharing... I bought a dolly and built a box frame onto it. It can carry large bottles securely. The side hooks are brackets for garage door tracks from TSC.

Nice carts everyone! I haven't posted or updated in a while, this project tends to get put on the back burner rather regularly. I haven't worked on it in a while. Now it's cold and I haven't had much motivation and just wanted to take a break from jeep stuff & projects for the holidays. It's not far from done, I just need to take a day and do it!
