How much is diamond platting? I seen a FJ Cruiser in Four Wheeler using it on the bottom of his doors.... i kinda was thinking about using to on my door bottoms to cover up the rust on my passenger door.

Good job on the seats and the DP's. I wouldnt recommend seat belts from a salvage yard for safty reasons. Some things just shouldn't be sold used when lifes are at stake. Just a suggestion. Just dye yours like you did the seats. Wont that work?

I wouldn't worry about it as long as you check the belts for nick and frays. If the belts are in good condition you should be good to go.
Just make sure the belt webbing isn't damaged if you try and pick up some used ones.

I emailed a local metal shop here in Sacramento, Ca for a quote and this is what the rep told me
"If it's not a structural thing and just for lining you definately want to go with .063
It runs about $3.75/sqft. Keep in mind that does not include shearing costs. Our minimum to shear is $20.00.
We do have tons of rems down here to pick from."
give you something to go off of at least

No, I don't lick fish.
Wow, I've been wondering how that would look... now I have a lot more to go on when considering it... diamond plate for the win!
As far as the dye though... my biggest concern is the dye rubbing off on my clothes... especially since I live in florida and my a/c needs to be fixed (back sweat)

not too bad, might look a little better if you did the whole door panel and not just half-assed it IMO

very interested to know how you connected plating to the part of the panel
also, what is the material used on the top part of the panel?
