Did a little more work this weekend. Installed a 3 core radiator, A exterior Transmission cooler and Temp gauges coming out of the tranny and going back in after the cooler. figured it woould be good to know when I'm on the trail or pulling grades with the trailer in tow. What a differance and piece of mind it makes.

Your are truly talented in creating a camp trailer from a farm trailer. Great job! Now make another and sell me your first one.

i found the pillar gauge mount on Summit I believe. it was less than $30.00. the glow shift gauges were a bit pricy but I wanted to be able to select colors showing the different temp. reading.

I also picked up the lower Annex for the tent. It was a great addition. you can fit to cots below or ours sons sleeping bed. With that it makes a great spot to place the little buddy heater and not have to worry about it getting tipped over
Below:
I installed a few church keys so I would never have to worry about forgetting a bottle opener. Had to have a little fun

Looks like you put a lot of time and effort into this and it looks nice.
However, I was wondering why you did not go full width with the cargo area to achieve more space? Like maybe building it around the fenders.

I desided to go with fenders for a few reasons. The first was that i liked the square storage box for stacking reasons. the load doesnt shift on the inside. the second is i wanted box protection pulling down trails. The fenders are also sliders when i getting back into the rough terrian. I wanted to be able to protect the tent and tanks from being slammed agaist obsticals.

Have you considered a functional fold out to use a burner or grill? Do you have any plans for camping this summer? I plan to take our new rv out and tow the xj. Just not sure which roads are good enough to drive it to. Bear Canyon Lake looks like a great destination, what do you think?

bear canyon is a nice area you can access the free camp grounds with your rv and your not to far from the lake. I have a Coleman camp kitchen I carry in the trailer. plus a grizzly cast iron griddle the I put over the camp fire.

I'm constantly getting new ideas and changing things up. I have about
$5000. in the entire build including solar panels, solar generator, solar lights, and my camping supplies.
