My Go Bag! Offroad camp trailer biuld
#48
Damn!
I am completely jealous!
This year, we started finding spots to camp here in Colorado..........
We are just doing the tent thing until I can find a better solution, and a trailer.................The roof-top tents are pricey!

Nice photos of camp man! I wish there were places like that closer to me.
The tents are not to bad if you consider everything. The one I have you can find under $1000.00.

I don't like camping in campgrounds, near other people. I like to get away from everybody.
There are lots of good spots along #300
This was my favorite spot! We camped there a bunch of times. It's right on #300 about a mile past the turnoff for Bear Canyon Lake.
I loved it cause it was still in the trees, but right on the edge of the "Rim", with an awesome view across the valley.
We were able to take my wife's Santa-Fe down in there with ease, so your XJ would be a piece of cake!
We also camped along the road that leads to Bear Canyon Lake a bunch of times..................#89 I believe (where the green X on the map is)
The best time was one night in mid June, it was all fogged in, and a whole herd of Elk moved through the forest where we were camping. You could hear their bugling all around us...........very spooky, but very awesome!

Did a little more work this weekend. Installed a 3 core radiator, A exterior Transmission cooler and Temp gauges coming out of the tranny and going back in after the cooler. figured it woould be good to know when I'm on the trail or pulling grades with the trailer in tow. What a differance and piece of mind it makes.

I commend you on your well though out, planned and executed trailer build along with the option of future upgrades from the beginning. Your ongoing build continues to be well thought out and not cluttered in the least.
Great Job!
My camping and 4 wheeling is a bit different than yours but we still have a great time. I'm old and stiff jointed lol and need a soft bed with some creature comforts yes I know a wimp. My wife and I take our 40' diesel pusher Motor Home completely self contained no campgrounds needed. Then we hook up my race car hauler behind it and take my XJ and the Polaris Razor with us along with 75 gal of gas. We may stay somewhere for a few days to a month or so, at my age no job, no money and lots of time.

Great job! I have always wanted to do one of those trailers. With so many projects going on, I dont think I will ever get one started.
