The snow has melted and I'm back
After a long winter and way too much snow without a garage, the weather has cleared up and I'm back at it again. Trying to get my dash fabbed and finished and then I have to head back up front to try and push my axle forward as far as possible. I goty hands on some scrap metals friend was tossing and I'm using that for the rest of my dash skins. I'll plug weld all the holes and then grind them flush one I get all the panels cut
Lots of plug welding in my future. But free metal is hard to beat
Dash vents
Cut holder is starting to take shape. Im using the factory glove box latch where the center console opene so ill have a simple lock on it
Tue two rear panels cut and almost ready to tack my tabs in to mount them. Then lots more plug welding

Love the build, I like how you were able to keep the header panel. I spent months trying to figure out how to keep the headlight buckets and headlights but the radiator kept getting in the way. I considered moving the radiator to the back but in the end just redesigning the nose. I'm running 39.5 TSL's and 4.5 inches of lift so maybe these pics will help, also I'm doing the inside next so keep those pics coming.

More dash panels
Got all my speakers installed, wiring to the head unit and to the CB wires up. Got my fuse panel set in its final resting place. All the dash panels are cut and now I'll be welding the holes this week and then try and paint/assemble next weekend if things go smooth

Final test fit
I'm on the fence on if I should weld the side panels on or just do the tabs so they are removable. The top will stay removable so I can still get to all my harnesses. And input?

Thought I recognized that metal.

However cool and clean it would look to weld them in EVENTUALLY something will make you wish they were removable.
Maybe not be necessary to remove them, but it might be a case of, "I wish I had a little more room".
So for the sake of MAYBE SOMEDAY , I'd make some tabs and keep them removable like the top.

I cut a ton of tabs and started to put things together that way and I really didn't like how it was coming out so I cut the couple new tabs back off and went ahead and welded it. I have tons of access when the center is off so if I need to fix/change anything it shouldn't be a problem.
