Default Hood Vent

Had some free time yesterday so I was able to install some vents in my hood to help drop the underhood temps a little... Let me know what you guys think...

Went to Lowes and picked up aluminum barbecue inserts that you cut with scissors... scuffed 'em up primed and painted them... the inserts were $6 for 2 12x24 pieces....

Thanks guys... thought about it for quite awhile before I made my first cut and looking at it now I'm glad I did... I was unsure of how it would turn out but I think it came out pretty good... I was looking for a different look and I think I got it...

What did you use for the edge/border? Any worries about water getting in there?
