Thanks. I like it a lot just a quick flick of the finger and it pops right open. And much safer then say the gate latch or something.

Change dish switch panel. Started as a 1/8 plate of aluminum. Cut, sanded and bend to fit the spot, center drilled and did as much cutting with a jig saw then had to resort to a hand file to finish the switch cut outs, wired up (pulling ground and ignition on from stereo harness which then goes through the switches to the engine bay into relays). Actually finishing the engine bay wiring today lol.

Initial fitting

After hand filing to fit switches

Primer, 3 coats

Ultra flat black, 4 coats

Clear coat finish, 6 coats

Adding my wiring harness to the mess. Used connectors from random junk yard cars to add my switch harness without making it permanent

Ignition on the bottom lights up

Switch on the top part lights up

Bench top test of the harness. One connector goes to my radio harness, the other goes to the engine bay

Thank you

Still working on the engine bay side of things but its coming along nicely.

Start of the relay cluster

Making the bracket

Adding the connectors

Soldering in the connectors to the wires coming from inside of the jeep

Battery connections (well, positive is tied into the fuse box power lug). Choose to do a direct ground to the battery body ground point as well as a body ground by the relay cluster. Overkill just in case

Couldn't figure out how to mark what was what because i used the same type of connector harvested from junk yard vehicles so i did color coded shrink wrap

Agreed, very good job. Gives me more of an idea on what to do with my setup now! I did have my relays hidden up under the dash, but I think I'll relocate mine to a similar location now for the purpose of ease of access.

My grenade shifter with 223 shell as the button. I think I found the idea on this thread somewhere.

a fire extinguisher fit there? What like one of those tiny 2# ones? Those are utterly useless in an actual fire - especially if you have to open the hatch to get to it
