Boostwerks has a hidden winch mount about to become a production model here soon enough.
I'll be one of the first few to try it (he's just down the road from me).
I'd highly suggest that one unless you want to take the time and effort to make one.

When I bought the XJ, 14 years ago, I tried and failed to find one of Mopar's optional hidden winch kits.
So, I built my own using a Warn M8000 winch.
I had already built a base plate, for a Roadmaster tow bar, so it could be flat towed behind our motorhome.
The winch mount utilized the existing base plate as a foundation. The relay box is located next to the relocated coolant bottle.
While the bumper is pushed forward a little over an inch, it looks stock and, as long as the license plate is in place, no one has ever spotted it, even at XJ events.
