First time bumper build
First time building a bumper. Used cardboard took a few try's to get it like I liked but came out nice. Now trace out on sheet metal and weld all together and see how it comes out.

I like it... When I did my first bumper, the main thing I learned was that the corners really make or break a bumper in terms of looks.
I would see if you can make the corners follow the curve of the lights a little more, and have the bumper come in a little closer. As in having your angled piece from the winch plate to the corner a little sharper.
Other than that, looks really good.

MY suggestion would be to try to tuck the winch in tighter. That thing sticks out an aweful long way.
Looks like a dang good start tho.

Looks really good,just push the bumper into the grill about 4 to 6 inches.
You will have to trim your grill to mount a winch but you will never notice the trimming if you are careful & everything is complete.

Never thought of that I was wondering how to get a winch to fit that's a good idea thanks

looks awesome i had same idea and have been saving up the cardboard at work to start mine. Autocad is nice to because you can get the depth of he bumper and the width and then play with different angles to see what you like

What I would reccommend is use as few pieces as you can. Try taking a sheet and bending it to get a cleaner smoother edge instead of welding two plates edge to edge. If you bend and gusset it will be stronger than butt welding and gussetting, and look much better.
