thanks guys. The doors are my first fab project and I had no experiance with metal or body work before I started so its great to hear the positive comments. I was wondering if anyone that has half doors or tube doors has ever had any problems hitting there elbow or arm against the doors on a bumpy trail? I am considering putting some sort of rubber liner on the top to keep myself from hitting my arm against it or burning my skin when the weather gets really hot. it gets into the hundreds here and makes the metal like a frying pan. any ideas?

those are some awesome half doors I plan to do the same with mine even though I'm not very good at welding. I have a knack for figuring out how thing come apart but not how they go back together.

Those turned out great. I like the detail on the interior of the door filling all the holes. got a good amount of storage in there now, curious as to why you left the speaker hole in there? Some padding on top would be good... I cant think of anything that wont get hot, maybe just some cloth material wrapped around high density foam...

As for the interior of the door, Im leaving it the way it is. I thought about just putting one big piece of diamond plate over it but I decided I liked the look of all the different curves of the inside of the door. It took alot of time to fill all the holes so if I made another pair, Id go with the diamond plate. I left the speaker hole just in case I decided later to put speakers in which I probably will. Right now I dont have the front speakers or the wireing harness so its back speakers for me until i have more money.

While I've never been a huge fan of half-doors, those are pretty darn slick. Very nice fab work on these. Almost reminds me of the doors on the BMW Z1.

Sorry for the double post
As for the unibody, im not sure. Ive heard two doors are already weaker than four doors but Ive done some minor rock crawling with the doors off and I didnt have any problems. It probably isnt great for the jeep but I havent seen any problems.
I was thinking hydroturf for the top, ive seen it on jetskis that sit outside all year so I know it can withstand all sorts of weather and abuse. It will still get hot but better than bare metal I guess

Fantastic job, i could never do that around here (too much theft) and my jeep is my DD so i wouldn't have another alternative.
Definitely an eye catcher.
