I really want to add the Rattle Trap to the floor of my rig. How many square feet of the material did you need for your project?

I ordered the 50sqft kit and have enough left over to do a layer or 2 in the cargo area (when I feel like taking it all apart again) .. I'll probably be ordering another 50 to do the doors and a single layer on the ceiling as well

I would like to do something similar to this In my jeep, I want to keep all my gauges but rearrange them. Do you have any more pictures of the process you went through? Or a list of materials, also is there anything you would have done differently? It would be incredible if you could do a detailed write up of this it would be awesome, you did a great job and it all looks great so far.

All this customizing to your jeep is awesome and I like it all. Taking only some of your ideas but not all.
The temps in Wash. are pretty moderate so eliminating air ducts doesnt affect you as much. I definitely could not do that here in AZ.
Also, you may be changing the cool looking gauge cluster to back in front of your face. Cool as it is, having to constantly look over to the middle of the dash just isnt as convenient as in front of you.
In your pics, I havent seen a spare tire. Do you not carry one? Mine is in the same spot as the OEM location but I have a 33" spare there.
Can you show a couple of pics of the install on the usb chargers in the rear passenger area?

thanks guys

1. the cluster.. the only pictures I have are the ones posted. the process was kind of a pain in the ***, and involved tracing a lot of traces on the circuit sheet and writing down pin locations. if I were to do something similar again, I'd probably go aftermarket guages and save myself a bit of headache with mounting and such

2. the vents .. it gets hot enough during the summer here too, and we get humidity like a moto as well. that's what I like to refer to as doorless weather. lol.. and really, with all the windows down I'm good.

3. guage location .. honestly its more for show than anything else, as I hardly ever look at it. I've had my jeep long enough that I know my speed by feel within a few mph's. that and I'm usually just cruising along with the flow of traffic anyway. the only thing I use on a somewhat similar basis is the gas guage

4. spare .. without a convenient way to carry it, I don't on a daily basis. I'll throw one on the roof rack for wheeling trips, but thats about it. that will be changing fairly soon tho

5. usb chargers .. pretty simple things we sell at work. I'll take picture of one of them when I work tomorrow

i'd be more than happy to build these for anyone willing to pay for it (i seriously love to build stuff) but nobody actually wants to
I'd be 110% into you building one of these for me...this is the best use of XJ cargo space I've seen....message me if you'd like the business

bolting on some parts, but nothing yet fab-wise. I leave for vacation tomorrow, but I have plans for the dash that will begin on my return next week. I finally have all the parts, so its time to wrap it up.

Hey Uber, I just put a new stereo in mine. Then I revisited the thread about double dinns in the dash, and you then swapped out to a tablet, then "something more substantial".....yeah, I'm gonna stick with my single dinn for a bit!
