I've got to say, I'm new to CF, and this is one of the most beautiful cherokee's I've seen. ever. Great job on the hood, and everything else, it looks great!

I will say one thing though... Keep an eye out on the back edges of the cowl, uprights and the flat area. The bondo on mine has started to lift and peel off from the heat/me using too thin of material. I have to go though mine and re-do mine.
Which reminds me I'm either going to start a new thread or continue this one on building a second, pretty much identical to the one I already built, hood. It might be a while though, got other things that need to be done and I also need to get a long enough sheet of 16g steel.
I'm going to take everything I learned by doing the first hood and apply it to building my stock hood into a better cowl hood than the one I have now is. It'll pretty much be and look the same, but the structure should be a lot better.

I look forward to seeing your next build. It was a fun build and I have been thinking about doing another one. I was thinking about making it about 2" wider the next time. The heaver material on the sides helped in keeping the warpage down from the welding. I also used square stock instead of round stock on the edges and that seamed to be more of a heat sink which helped keep the warpage down also, that way I didn't have to use vary much Bondo on the top edges.
Just a note, I did notice that my engine ran a little cooler when on the trail after I installed it.
Thanks again for all your advice and all the pictures.

But, thanks! Also yes, 16 guage on the white one and 22 on mine (the green one). But I don't recomend 22 gauge at all, too then to weld properly and also not supportive enough to make the hood structural.
