I considered that but would need a better die selection to be feasible unless everyone wanted 1.50 .

Build a couple roof racks out of 1.5". Sell them on CL. Buy another die.

Build a few other things. Sell them on CL. Pay back bender.

Build a few more things. Sell them on CL. Profit.

Etc etc etc.

I really wish I had a 1.5" die and bender. I want to build a custom roof rack and bed rack for my truck.

After some consideration and a few recommendations such as this I have decided to take the AD down and get the $1700 version that comes with a die set and try to do some side work to pay for the setup as you mentioned.

I have decided to go with the Model 600 Tradesman that comes with the following 5 piece die set....

*2.00×6.00″ CLR (Center Line Radius) Die Set
*1.75×6.00″ CLR HD Die Set
*1.50×4.50″ CLR Die Set
*1.25×4.50″ CLR Die Set
*1.00×3.50″ CLR Die Set

They do allow substitutions and thought it might be good to have one square tubing die. Not sure which one to omit or what size square tubing die to get. I was thinking the square tubing for roof racks.

FAWK that's a lot of dies. I need a bender that will do .188 and .250 stuff. And some more dies.

nice. good job on stepping up and getting something that will work for many projects. should have this thing paid off in no time.

i just have one die with my pro-tools 105HD. i have the 1.75x240 radius. i figure if i need a 1.5 die, i can just make a sleeve to fit my die to accept a 1.5 tube. my buddy did this and it works pretty good.

i also have the notcher, makes easy work and precise notches. no grinding for hours. lol.

now go make some money with that thing. people will pay.
