Aluminum Head
I have a 1997 GC laredo with the 4.0L I6 engine. I have seen all aluminum replacement heads for sale on line and was wondering what kind of difference that would make over the cast iron heads??
I know on MC's that aluminum heads could handle cold water on hot cylinders and heads much better than iron ones. and I assume dissipate heat better. Would the same hold true for a GC? I assume the block is also cast iron so, would mixing an iron block with an aluminum head be a problem?????
Thanks!

stick to iron if you get the aluminum head hot it will warp the iron will handle the heat better if it over heats the aluminum will now last long if over heated. just my opinion
