Update on the axle. This turned my MJ into an animal, the 4.10's and posi are awesome. Now I have some horrible wheel hop to address, but thats another story. Heres a little better pic of it under the truck.

And total for this project including axle, all new brakes, seals, fluid, lines, everything= 235 bucks! Not a bad deal at all. I had the steel for the truss and the ss for the diff cover already. Maybe figure about 25 for welding supplies too, gas and wire. So say 260 on the high side for everything.

When you pick it up, make sure the tag says 3L73, if it doesn't have the L its a no Tracloc model. Also if the tag is gone, you can look at the spider gear area. It will have a little zig zag clip inbetween the spiders, that is only on Tracloc models.

Where's the tag located?

It will be a thin metal tag, held on by one of the diff cover bolts.

It will be hard to read, they always are. Just take something to clean it off with. So you can verify what you are buying. I usually use a small wire brush or scotch brite pad to clean the rust off of the tag so i can see it.

The 8.8 stock brackets aren't very stout or long enough to provide good stability. I re used some I had already that were from summit racing it think. They were cheap.
