Not mine, but this guy does sick work. Headquake's RC - #217 (FC170) Nov.24 2015 - YouTube
That's cool man. I'm gonna get one eventually, but my main focus is on my Jeep right now.

In other news... bought my son this for Christmas
1/6th scale Grave Digger... 4wd.. operates similar to a tank. Right stick controls right wheels, left stick controls left wheels. http://newbright.com/rccar/60630-mon...-grave-digger/
I actually got it for 50 bucks through someone that buys return pallets purchased from department stores. He bought the pallet for 100 bucks, so this paid him back for half the pallet. Not bad considering these go for 110 bucks in stores.
My older son already had the 1/10th scale version of Son-uva Digger
and I didn't realize that it was only 1/10th scale... but they still have fun. They switch it up every now and then and the smaller one is a bit faster and the batter lasts longer so it's all good.
Both are pretty fun, but I'd like to get them both 1/8th scale HPIs done up to look like Grave Digger and Son-uva Digger... and then a Max-D for me.

I'm just about finished with the rebuild of a steel chassis wraith. I stripped it down, cut it up, and welded it back together for a better look. Also remade the panels, made new links, and made new steering. Took it out for its first trail run and it did great. Only snapped 2 pics as I was too busy enjoying it.

I've been tossing the idea around of making a new steel crawler chassis for my clod axles I have laying around.

Happy to see more posts on here. Repacked my axles and drive shafts with grease and took it on a trail run the other day. I made a roof and windshield since but no pictures. Found some sweet plastic netting that I'm planning on using for the windows of the body too.

What you guys think Redcat RC? My boy is about ready for a hobby grade truck, don't want to spend too much coin on his first one cause I'm sure it will get bashed. I haven't ran RC since the mid 90's when I used to run a Traxxas hawk, and Tamaiya buggy.

Red Cat's aint "bad", but you will most likely want to upgrade sooner or later. The Axial crawlers are pretty good for scale or simple crawlers that you can put any body on you want.

Cool, thanks. I was eyeing the axial wraith, but saw the Red cat Everest for less than half the price. I gave my son a wally world special RC car and he seems to have mastered it, so I want to give him a step up. He's only 6 so I don't want to drop a lot of coin at first. If he still shows interest after he wears out a Red Cat I will definitely get him a better unit. The Red cat prices seemed almost too good to be true, just wanted to make sure they weren't complete junk before pulling the trigger.

Vaterras. Most ended up breaking either a front axle shaft or a front drive shaft. I also have a buddy that chipped the teeth on the rear ring gear the first time out with his. While they are very cool looking rigs and more to scale than the Axial SCX10, they have a weaker drive-train.

At a local crawler comp this past weekend there were a good handful of those

I'm thinking of getting the Redline Everest or Rockslide for my six year old boy and I to play with.
