Just got an old Tamiya Clodbuster. Not sure what I'm going to do with it yet, probably going to sit for a while since the Jeep is taking all my money right now. Wheelbase is about 11" so most rock crawler bodies should fit with a little finessing. I spy an XJ body in the future?

Beach Bum
I tried an RC truck, Slash 4x4 with four paddle tires and Lipo battery. It was fun, launching off dunes at 45mph. But the sand and salt became too much trouble and maintenance.
Now I keep to the sky, which has it's own troubles.
I do not consider these toys, there is a very real danger factor.

The other two he took and made a custom 6x6 frame, custom suspension and running gear, a Kenworth cab and a custom sleeper and made a 6x6 Monster Semi out of it... then he made an aluminum lowboy trailer with monster tires to go with it that hauls his RC airboat with a weedeater motor.
I might just have to get him to send me some pics for you guys.
In the meantime... can't remember if I ever posted these or not.
Newbright Hobbies "RAT"s on either side (my sons') and a Team Losi Junior 2 in the middle. Modified motor (been so long, I can't remember how many windings), 6k mah battery (still only lasts about 15 minutes), TRAXXAS ESC, custom internal antenna setup, and chopped up body (ESC kept going into protect mode - had to get more airflow to it).

It's amazing how far RC cars have gone in the past 35 years. I used to race weekly BITD. I remember when the RC10 came out crushed everyone. I had one of those for mod and a Schumacher for open 4X4. Are these crawler models based on the Tamiya Hilux? I wish I still had that old junk.. I can't remember what I did with it.

Before he finally sold pretty much everything though he really broadened his likes though. He liked Traxxas and the HPIs

Hmm you guys have me wanting to build an RC crawler. I built a hovercraft for my science class one time and that thing was SWEET. I also had one of the cheaper drones for awhile. those are fun to.
