Well the '92 C5 we have is lighter but doesn't have that sprint, it's probably due to the shorter gear ratios.

I used to have a LS1 powered Trans Am, and it was a fun car in it's own way. I found I liked the power band of the LS1 better than the LT1, the LT1 seemed more torquey off the line, but the LS1 had better mid to top end, at least that's how it felt to me.

Of course now I have an innocent looking family sedan which is not only faster in a straight line than my T/A was, but can run circles around it handling wise as well.

2000 Z24 is my DD. I've got 167K on it now. I keep saying I'm going to get rid of it for a Cobalt SS, but it runs great, good mileage so I'll run it til it drops, that way I have more money for the XJ.

I would have to agree with the statement.. and have you read anything on the G8 maybe coming the new caprice(which would make me happy). I know this is like 143095r83942 articles about it but this seems like it may be a better chance that Pontiac is down and out..

With Bob Lutz back, I think it stands a good chance of doing so. Though we'll have to see what the Government part of Government Motors has to say about that. It wouldn't be hard, it's already sold as the Chevy Lumina in the Mid East market, so they even have the Chevy grill already in production for it. Honestly I think the biggest factor would be if they can produce it here instead of in Australia to cut down on the costs. I can't see that being too difficult, considering the Camaro is a Zeta platform car as well and built in North America.

yeah im keeping my fingers crossed because one of the articles i read said it would be out around 2011.. which is conviently when i graduate college. So i may just have to buy a GXP(or SS) whatever it will be called then if all goes well

the black 02 ws6 you see is mine, only pic i have on the new computer. It's at RPM's first dyno day in claymont delaware. all i have is a cutout before the muffler and a ws6 store short stick, she dyno'd 317rwhp 329rwtq. I've only had it at the track maybe twice, both on ****ty street tires so spinnen all of first and begining of of 2nd I ran a 13.5sec at 106mph with a 2.2sec 60ft. If I chanced blowing the rear and through slicks on it and could get a 1.9-2.0 60ft the mph says I should be right around 12.9-13.0sec. It WAS my daily driver before i got the xj so now it waits in the driveway for the xj to break so I'm not left stranded. It will eventually get more work soon hopefully.

In time. Bought it for the wife about 3 months before I deployed.. "I'm still in Iraq". It will get a change in altitude in time. Can't do anything to it until I return.
