Default Scrambler Frame Up build,

well, we are have currently begun a pretty serious CJ-8(scrambler) build for a customer. this will be a frame up build, which means everything will be removed from the frame and build up from the ground up.

build will go like this
-big motor
-big tires
-big axles
-low lift height
-ect

Starting point (sorry, i didnt take pictures of the jeep at the begining)
but, it was a CJ-8 with a fiberglass body, 4" lift, 35's, D30/AMC 20, and a 360 with a T4 behind it. and not much else. it was originally a resto project that the previous owner must have ran out of money with , so he sold it to its new owner. and the new owner brought it to us.

so, we stripped off the body and everything else besides the axles (so we could still roll it) and loaded the frame up on the trailer to sandblast it and painted it

we then got the frame back and mocked it up on the stands and removed the axles... (the yellow body in the backround is the body for this jeep)

now, it is time to start the build.

now it is time for the axles,

after alot of talking we decided to go with a D60 up front and a D70 for the rear. which wil be shortened to the right width.

also going on the Jeep are the M.O.R.E. shackle reversal brackets for the front . so with some down time i installed the front mounting points. i still need to finish the rear half of the brackets, but i dont want to do that until the jeep has most of the weight on it.

i love these kits, the are very good quality

so i got some more work done on the CJ.

finished installing the MORE shackle reversal kit, and mocked up the front and rear axles, nothing is welded yet though.

and for fun i mocked up a couple of the tires to get an idea of how high this thing will sit

also, the motor arrived today.

it is a crate motor LS3 with a hotcam 480hp/475tq. also came with ECU, Harness, and accesories. and Yellow cladding from a new camaro for the valve covers and intake.
