combination of things, it wasnt the wifes priority, insurance decided to wait, the first tow company couldnt find it for 3 days, and the wife is a little weird...
They stole the winch, red top optima battery, cb/radio (i guess it was a combination or something so the cb would play through the sound system) stole the sub and amp, the spare tire, one NEW tire (only had like 3k miles on it), also stole the front bilstien shocks, C02 bottle, hilift, tools, recovery strap, and im sure a few other things..
Im also thinking its not that bad, shouldnt be too expensive either...

I know the whole story why it wasnt picked up right away.... First of all the owner broke his back.and had to be air vacd. There were two other rigs left behind that were picked a few days later. And this is why. 1 it was a remote trail that wasnt traveled often at all. 2 it was a tough trail that required a lift, tires, and most likely a winch. And more reasons for the yota? Insurance company. Wife of the injured guy. Tankerblade tried to go out there to see the comdition of it and ended up smashing his bumper. (tanker if I left anything out, let them know)
Ya so basicly it wasnt money before brains it was brains before stupidity. The guy was in icu for a week or two.

x2 on the leaving it out there...i was getting ready to organize a recovery team on the sunday after it happened, but the wife didnt want anything to happen, not only that i wasnt sure where it was or how bad the trail was, and when i was going there, it was insane...on top of that the gear needed wasnt available to me. we had to use 175ft of cable, about 60ft of strap, and anonother 15ft of chain, on top of the 150ft of winch cable...
Not only that the family doesnt really care...the owner was going to just get rid of everything and send it to the scrap yard

My main concern is to see if the frame is straight...i mean im almost positive it is, but others involved think otherwise...i just need to drive an hour to the other side of the valley and get under it.
But with the aftermarket bumpers, stronger crossmembers, im thinking the frame is fine

Here is a decent truck with no motor. You could build a decent truck out of this.
