Our LAST creation
Keeping with Forum rules, I will post this HERE, instead of the "What have you done to your Cherokee today" thread.
The 91 Laredo that resides in our driveway was a replacement for our last "creation" as they have been called.
1989 Chevy Celebrity Eurosport S/W
2.8L V6 FWD Auto w/OD
212,000 on original equipment.
Working A/C to boot.
What it looked like when we picked it off of eBay for $250
As soon as we got it home, I started in on it.
Fabbed up some 3" strut spacers.
(Did I mention, I am a machinist in a steel fabrication shop)
Made 2" stainless steel engine cradle spacers: this was to put the drive axles back in proper angle.
SPACERS
This gave the lift we were looking for for the front.
As for the rear, Axle was removed (FWD..so this was just a trailing dead axle)
Boxed it out. Fabbed up new spring mounts and re-installed.
New axle:
New track bar with re-located upper mount and GM U-body van (Lumina APV, Olds Silhouette...the "ramp-nose") HD rear shocks.
Our intent was to make it look as "factory" as possible. This meant using as much OEM parts as we could, albiet highly modified.
Right down to factory rally rims. But the lift NEEDED some beefy looking tires.
Firestone Destination A/T's are possibly the only off-road tire still made in 14"
225/75R14's were mounted.
"Skyjacker" as it was called was sold.
The one before "Skyjacker" was "Cruiser"
1986 Olds Custom Cruiser 9-pass S/W
If you have to ask...3" lift.
Front was a set of modified Superlift Ford Bronco springs and in the rear was standard coil spring spacers.
Fit a set on GMC Sierra Ralley wheels with some BIG Yokahama Geolandar GT-S tires.
Sadly I have but ONE pic...lost the rest in a HD crash.
I will add more pics as they become available....There were ALOT of creations.

Changed the plugs...looked like they were in for the last 95,000miles.
Well, at least some...there were 3 different plug makes in it.
Good tune-up and fresh exhaust...BAM
Thing hauled

Last car show I went to had a Celebrity SW like that with a small block V8, duel exhaust, metallic silver paint job, and a slight rake to it with fat rear tires. License plate said "Sleeper".
