Update 8/15/12

Tailgate fitted.
Floor tacked in.
Fuel filler tacked in.
Corners repaired.
Tub scraped and cleaned, bottom.
Left cowl support welded in.
Rear body mounts replaced welded in.
New defroster cowl metal made, ready to cut and weld.

Driver floor burned in 80%.
Driverside patch at cowl support DONE!
Floor patch driver left Rear mounting bolt DONE !
Driver missing weld nuts seat mounting bolts DONE !
Passenger Rear R mounting bolt floor patch Tacked in.

Got R side cowl support burned in.
Got R floor below cowl repaired.
Widshield bracket area rust patched, both sides.
Gas filler burned in.
All holes from old tailgate patched.

I am guilty of that so, I hear where you are coming from.
Been working 6 AM to 11 PM, will try to get them up asap.
Did manage to run out at lunch time and exchange my empty 125 Cu Ft C25 gas bottle, Whoo Hoo, I got Wire and Gas, let's melt some more metal.

Finally got some progress pics.

R side patch and J reconstruction, needs to be cleaned up.



Inside cowl support reconstruction and floor repair.



Windshield rust repair patches.





Tailgate holes patched, light holes and wire harness hole filled.
Tire carrier bumper bracket holes filled.
We will be doing LED integrated units, flush mounted.



Fuel Filler filled.



Nitro out.

Update 10/03/12

All floor patches are burned in.
All rust repair is done.

Cowl is converted from YJ to CJ.

All swing tailgate holes patched.

The new CJ fabricated Sheet metal.



Old YJ sitting on top of new CJ cowl defroster area. (Hole in floor for trans cover converted to CJ)



YJ Swing tail gate holes patched.



Top of the CJ cowl, also Hole in floor for T case and shifter converted to CJ.



Today we are pressure washing all the crud off.
Then POR 15 and Truck bed liner inside and bottom.

Yes sir. Now we are talkin. Very nice fab work buddy!! White Berliner coating are you using. I done some reading and got a lot of bad reviews from the herculiner but heard good about the rustoleum brand so that's what I went with. It's much cheaper at Walmart than at the auto parts stores too. I am happy with the rustoleum brand but then again the herculiner comment is based just off what I read so it may be just as good. I'll be waiting for update.

I will have to look at the product name.
I bought it at an auto paint supply (Finish Masters ) Smart brand.
It was not cheap for the kit, ~ $150 IIRC.
It was for another application and did not get used.

Should be pretty good.
