"I wont to drive it baby you never let me wheel the scout baby" says my wife.
"I will give you some loving tonight if you let me drive it off road. The trail aint that rough"
pics kind of suck because it was dark but you get the point. actually real lucky had two people in the back uninjured and the rear quarter stopped about 2 inches from the ground. As it stands only got to replace the fender and got a small dent in the wind shield frame.
She tried to gun it and power out of the rut before it went over but forgot she had it in neutral. I was in truck behind her. It was like slow motion. Took about 12 rednecks to get her back on the tires.

LOL! Sorry, I feel your pain. I let my wife drive my old F150 (not nearly as nice as your Scout), ONCE! She didn't make it out of her parents back yard without gashing a hole in the side with a fence post.
This was about 10yrs ago, she hasn't asked to drive another one of my vehicles since.

Well I cant complain to much. There is a little fact I left out. My wife gave me the scout as a wedding present back about 5 years ago. Granted it was no where near as nice as it is or was. I had it lifted, painted, and had to do some minor engine work to it. Its been nothing but socks and boxer shorts for xmas and birthdays since though. I was putting my xj together so I did not have to take the scout off road. New fender and a little paint and she will be as good as new.
Im just glad it did not get the rear quarter. I can handle replacing a fender but the rear quarter on a scout is way out of my league when it comes to body work. I crushed the rear quarter on a full size bronco once and about had to take a loan out to get it fixed. Definitely not a bolt on replacement.

Thats about par for me. My wife lets me buy a '02 grand when it was only 2 years old. wouldnt let me take it off road, "not till its paid off, you'll scratch it". First she fries the t-case by leaving it in 4-high while doing 80 on the freeway for 20 miles (snow ended on the surface streets.) then crumples the whole passenger side when she sideswiped a dodge neon. Never drove it in the dirt. Like hell if she will ever live that one down. I6 gun metal gray, 4x4 of the year, my dream rig grumble grumble. She now drives a honda.

My ex crashed or somehow busted every vehicle I had. Over heated the engine in my 88 Ranger, Lost a rear wheel and bent up the bed on my 96 F150 and totaled my 99 Trans Am.
Single now and can't complain

HELL NO and she even had the nerve to say it was because I spent to long messing with the scout once we got it home. I walked in the house and she was passed out on the couch sleeping like a baby.
She did buy me a new ak47 for my birthday last week so I aint quite as mad at her anymore.
As for the scout I ended up selling it for more than I had in it to spite the damage. The dude that purchased it has already fixed it and is rolling around town like a boss. I needed the money and just did not have the time or desire to work on it at this time.

Thing is she claims to be an awesome driver. She has never had a ticket or accident and has only been pulled over once because we were driving the same kind of car as a bank robber was. Its aggravating but I just keep telling myself that a maid and chef would cost me a whole lot more than the repairs have. Love is blind and I am starting to think my wife might be as well.

Hahahahaha. My wife says the same thing. I'm a great driver and I don't get in accidents. Well she isn't the one that jacks up her car and looks underneath it at the scraped underside. Or the big gash in her wheel from a curb check. She says she didn't do it. Well I don't drive her car so there you go. And she's only been in 2 accidents and hit one pedestrian. But none were her fault. So she claims

No but it sounds like they are related. I purchased her a new nissan juke last year. within 6 months I had to have the whole front end repainted cause she came home with a gigantic scratch across the hood and the windshield needs replacing because it magically got cracked. Supposedly she has no idea how either happened. Last week she got it stuck in the front yard in a gully washer and I had to pull her out turning the yard into a mud hole in the process.
