I just rebuilt the trans in my 1993 Chevy k1500 with a master rebuild kit ( All new steels and clutches) with an hd sun cage hd sprags upgraded 13 vein pump a correction kit and 2 new shift solenoids.( All purchased from a local trans shop) Trans was assemble to manufactures spec all tolerances were double checked as well as all the torque specs on every bolt. When I engage the truck in reverse it hesitates when I hit the gas. If I hit the gas quickly the truck revs and goes no where. But if I am easy on the gas the truck will slowly start to move but it feels like the new torque converter is slipping. This truck is driving me up the wall. This is the first trans I have done. I had the help and guidance of a friend of mine who rebuilds these on a daily basis and even he is stumped. What am I missing? Any advice would be great.

Well I lost 3rd and 4th this morning on the way to work. What could I have done to cause these issues?

sun gear on these blow up all the time taking out a few things with it. happened to me. either rebuild it or new tranny time. only fix. if you change just the sun gear youll have other problems in the future.
