The tailgate should be the same. Are you sure its not twisted or tweek'd?

Other than that, progress is progress!

Looking back at your last picture (side picture), you can deff tell the bed is tweek'd. I would double check your bed mounts to make sure they are in good shape and not bent or smashed in.

ahh yea thats a bad pic that was before i put the body lift on i had bricks under the bed in that pic and that side was sagging which might hint to why its tweeked left it like that for a while so over time it prolly tweeked itself oh well ill prolly just get the gate off and buy one of those mesh tail gate things or whatever haha my tailgate is in pretty bad shape as well lol

Looking good 8)

I'm all about K-series trucks. I grew up with them and that's what I learned to wrench on. These are what we have currently:

89 'Burb- tons, trussed, locked f/r, 383 stroker, 38 TSLs.

84 K30 dually- tons, 454, th400, etc.

76 K20- almost tons (big hub 44 front, ff 14 Bolt rear,) mild 350, 38.5 hawgs.

83 C30 dually- 2wd, hot 350, plow

2 80-something C20's in need of some love

74 (I believe) C60 dump

86? K20 truggy project- getting CUCV axles, 52" springs up front, 56" springs out back, 40's, cage.

We used to have a bunch of other trucks (and K5's,) but we've downsized over the years.

Well weather here on the texas coast has not been cooperating. It has rained probably 3 out of the past 4 weekends, plus one of the past 4 I had my bosses wedding and last weekend I put on a leveling kit on my 04 f350. Im fearing that Im starting to have troubles with the common 6.0 psd problems...thats another topic by itself Im changing funding to this truck but I have everything I need to get the K25 running and actually back on the road so its just a matter of still wrapping it up...

With that being said I do plan on working on it this weekend for the whole weekend..going to complete the install of the exhaust...wasnt as easy as what I thought doing it by myself. I have set goals for the weekend and they are as follows (shouldnt be a large chance of rain as of right now)

SAT
1. complete exhaust install
2. finish wiring up the tach (wire to dizzy is there just need to find a accesory wire and ground it
3. Check all fluids
4. check tightness of all bolts for accessories including tighting the carb down
5. check all wiring
6. clean & recharge knn air filter(going to use the method seen in a thread here)

Sunday
1. pull dizzy
2. reprime oil pump
3. reinstall dizzy set timing
4. bolt up torque converter
5. fire it up

It would really be nice if I could find some help but will prolly be doing this alone haha doable just doesnt get done as fast.

If Texas wasn't so far away, I'd be all in for helping some.

I only have good pics of the 'burb and the 76. Everything else is rather... Disassembled lol. The 76 is now sitting on jackstands and being parted out. The PO welded that ****ty 6" pipe bumper right to the frame...:/
