1985 Toyota Celica Questions
I bought the car the other day and noticed the speedo doesnt work for some odd reason not sure why or even where to start looking to fix it. Also would like any ideas for a bit more performance out of the 22re engine thats in it. It gets up and goes pretty well being a 5speed but Id like to be able to get more out of it. Would like to make a drifter out of it but still be street legal if possible.

Yes because that is very labor intensive, sry I know I'm an *** but seriously would you ask jeep questions on the Toyota site? Just makes sense to join a forum specific to every vehicle you own. Many people are members of multiple sites just for the one brand of vehicle. Myself included, I think I'm a member of 5 or 6 jeep sites

You could possible upgrade the fuel/air intake system or a possible gearing swap from the smaller motor previous year if there interchangeable.

Well almost had an electrical fire tonight. Not sure what caused it just know I had smoke rolling from under the dash. What should I be looking for to find the short? Just melted wire or are there other signs as well?
