I just got my ZJ (95) on the road and put a new radio in it but i can not get it to do anything. I've check fuses they're all good. And i've wired up radios before with no problems. The zj has two extra blue wires that IDK what to do with, theres also an orange that has no where to go. the person before me didnt have the wire stripped. I'm at a loss

Are you getting power? Confirm you have power (unless u ran direct to battery in which case you know) and a solid ground. If you have these two things and no power to the stereo then you need a new stereo or the fuse on the back is shot.

I forget what all the wires are for. The only one that ever caused issues was the security system wire before that was all disabled.

There is power, I crossed the lines to check and blew the fuse but replaced it.

Edit: I hooked the radio directly to the battery and still nothing. Hopefully i can find the receipt and return it

Its possible the fuse didn't go soon enough, or is it was a dud from the start.

Got a new radio for best buy hooked it to the battery and it work. Put it inside still wouldn't work with the key on one turn, but will work once its started up

That one I can't answer. Security maybe? With all my vehicles I just run the stereo directly to the battery.

On second thought check you hooked up the accessory (acc) wire proerly.

Ya i got it working, i didn't realize to turn accessory on in the jeep you have to turn the key backwards, i'm use to my hondas where its one click forward
