WJ Grand Cherokee 2,7CRD 2004 - True Track diffs
Hi guys, since it's my first post would like to say hello to everyone over there
I have Jeep Grand Cherokee WJ 2,7CRD 2004.
Since i just started customizing my jeep among other changes i was looking for TrueTrack diff lockers. And the problem is that i have no idea which one to choose
My jeep have both open diffs, NV247 transmission case (Quadra Track II). front is dana 30 and rear dana 44. I know there were few different types of diffs in those jeeps.
I would guess that front should be:
http://www.summitracing.com/int/part...a584/overview/
and the rear http://www.summitracing.com/int/part...a591/overview/
but i would be glad if someone can verify it. thanks a lot guys

Welcome to CF!
Sorry I can't help you with this as I have no experience with lockers except the old GM Positraction limited slip.
BTW, what's your location?

I always like talking to Brits. I've been there and was totally amazed in that every square inch of land is manicured to perfection. Where do you go off-roading except old military bases? Of course I was only around London, Portsmouth, and Brighton so I really haven't seen much of the country.
I've actually done some checking around and I think the Eaton Detroit locker would work well in the rear, but I'm not a diehard off-roader so I'm not sure about locking the front. I was hoping for some guys with experience to post on this thread.

haha I'm actually Polish just living here at the moment.
yeah it's not really easy to find a proper place for offroad here. green lanes are shrinking every year due to council restrictions. but we still have Wales and Scotland with many many beautiful and wild places to go to.
but still my goal is Iceland next year. nothing compares to it
I did considered Eaton Detroit locker but it;s automatic one which locks during turns even on pavement. so gives really weird driving behaviour. it's good for strictly off road vehicle but my grand will be more expedition car so i have to have good road handling.
ideal would be True Track which is actually torsen not locker but there in non for alu dana 44a. then I'll probably end up with True Track on the front and ARB locker on the rear. ARB is fricking expensive but it's manual locker which you can activate with a button when needed. needs compressor tho. when its unlocked it works as open diff so driving on pavement will be fine
