if I put my pasenger window down all the way I have to pull it up while I use the button. I think it needs to be lubed or something.

is there any power getting to the window mechanism? if i were you and had to get it up i would take the door panel off and push it up, but that would be more of in case it had to be up, otherwise plastic works good to cover and you dont risk breaking things.

The little light in the switch is on and it worked for a few days then quit. I went back to junk yard and they tested the motor, its good. I got a new switch from a '99 and plugged it up. The motor was in the up position form the jy test, It went down when I got it home and stayed down. It must be the wire to make it go up is bad. But I dont know witch one that is or how to test it, or bypass it. ????

it could be the wires... check behind the rubber boot to see if the wires have been worn down so much that the two ends aren't connecting.. i've have that problem and i know others have too. you just have to splice them back together.
