Hey guys so I have a 96 zj 4.0 and I have been having a misfire issue (code 43.) So on the first startup of the day my Jeep will start with no problem idle pretty good. I start on my way to work and about 10 min down the road my Jeep will misfire and have no power when I give it gas. I put it in neutral and rev a few times and it picks up or I’ll have to restart the car but still misfires and runs rough and if I give it to much gas it would bog with the misfire. It’s been a problem that has been getting worse. It’s been going on for about 2 weeks now. My also has a hesitation problem. All that and NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHT.

Things iv changed

Auto Zone parts
1. New TPS
2. New IAC
3. New spark plugs and wires
4. New water pump
5. New power steering pump
6. New belt
7. New tensioner pulley
8. New Air filter
9. New O2 sensor upstream

Things iv cleaned
1. Throttle body
2. Cap and rotor
3. Battery ( wire brash nothing to crazy )

So when I checked my cap and rotor there was build up but I gave it the best clean I could without damaging anything. After I clean the cap and rotor it run fine on the way home sat for two days then the problem continued.The battery on the negative side had this nasty looking build up almost like wet sand kinda it smelled bad. Please help

I’m thinking cap and rotor but I just don’t know at this point.
