Default Potential buyer... looking at 05 limted... help!

I am looking at a limted 05 cherokee with 90 000 miles (5.7 hemi). She potentially has a driveshaft boot issue... anyone familiar with that and if so.. is it an expensive fix? What would be a fair price for a 05 limited?.. she is loaded with everything but dvd.... that being said... how expensive is the dvd system to add (prefer the stock one but will settle lol) interior is solid as is exterior.
Im a newbie to the jeep brand but not to the hemi as i own an 06 charger daytona special edition. I have always wanted a jeep as i have always liked them... any hep you guys can give will be greatly appreciated

You would be better off asking this question on a Jeep Liberty forum. In the US, the Cherokee name was not used beyond 2001.

OzzyNF, You need to post this under Grand Cherokee. This section is for XJs, otherwise referred to as "Square-okees". Good luck to you anyway. I hope it's a gem for you.

Replacing boots is fairly easy and inexpensive. But rebuilding the joint inside it, if necessary, is more difficult.

Replace the whole shaft... Not worth the time/effort to rebuild them.

I just bought an 06 GC with hemi nav DVD leather with 90k. I paid $14k plus they did all the 90k mile service at the Jeep dealer. That's as cheap as they go in CO

If the cv boot on the front shaft requires replacement, the whole shaft will need to be replaced. It can't be serviced by its self. It Is easy to do, drive shafts are just not real cheap.
