Default Oil Pressure...

I just got a 2002 Jeep Cherokee. While driving I noticed that the Oil pressure is typically at "3/4" on the gauge which seemed kinda high for normal highway driving.

The manual specifies that it should maintain 45-70psi on the highway but there are no pressures on the gauge so I have no idea what its actually running. Anyone have some light on this?

Thanks,
Eric

The oil pressure gauge on a 2002 grand does NOT read "actual pressure",it is simply a switch,on/off...good/bad

Either way it sounds fine. You could try a lighter weight oil if you find that it really is running at too high of a pressure.
