Default looking at a 95 GC limited V8

Im looking for something to put about a 3" lift on and some 30/31 AT's and to use for a b/u for my DD.

Ive found a 95 limited with a bad V8 engine (probably been ran hot)..... everything stock on it,180K miles, decent original paint, straight body never wrecked . It has the full time 4wd , leather and power everything. Needs carpet , headliner, and a good defunking inside.

I dont know anyone who has had one of the full time 4wd versions. Any downfalls to it compared to the standard version? Any issues with the 95's to look for also ?

Full Time 4wd will have a 249 T-case and after time are known to go bad. But are a easy replacement with a 242 or 231 t-case.

Are those direct bolt ins or does anything have to be changed ?

It can be a direct bolt in. But at most you swap the input shaft in the t-cases..
