Im stuck in 4wd!
Someone please help. I made a bad mistake. I took my daily driver ZJ out wheelin yesterday and accidentally got it locked into 4wd. I need help figuring out how to fix it. I shifted into 2wd. Did the backup a few yards thing, I don't know what else to do. Someone help me please. I have a 1993 Grand Laredo 4.0L. All stock

Does the transfer lever feel sloppy at all?
How far from where you were wheeling to where it's parked now?
Do you have a full time option on the transfer case? If you do that will mean you have an NP242 transfer case... which you could shift into fulltime and get to work.
Check the fluid level.

thank you
Hey there, I figured out how to do it finally, I backed it up a good 50-60ft and gave it a ton of gas. Then slammed on the breaks. Did some tight radius turns to ensure the front wasn't locked and sure enough it worked. But I noticed that I could hear some rattling around in my rearend. Probably another problem all together. But thank you for the information. Greatly appreciated
