I need info on how to trim zj rear quarter panels
Trying to get rid of the factory bumper and need some help on the BEST way to cut the extra hanging metal around edges. Cut and weld, or just cut and fold? Just keeping the factory bumper support for now but plan to do a simple tube bumper over the summer. Thanks for the help

Well either way would be fine. But if you plan to do the welding yourself?? then you should know that a major cut and weld, especially the same time as the tubes, would be much better.
But only if you know what your doing.Removal of the pinch welds and improperly rewelded panels can quickly come undone and possibly making your Jeep undrivable at high speeds. i.e.CUT and FOLD for safety.
SideNote... I Cant wait until i bend those tubes and Tub my Inner Fenders. Love that pic, the one you commented on the Thread, "post your lifted jeep"

Yeah I'm not very good welding thin sheet metal so I decided the cut and fold. Also have an idea I'm gonna try out soon with the tow hitch to be the actual base/ support for the rear bumper

the previous owner cut my fenders into tabs and then folded them up. from his mistakes, pay attention around the corner areas so that it does not look square, and also make sure you fold them up all the way. this guy did not and I have some shallow cuts along the edges of my tires. to fold them back all the way I used a 2"x2" flat piece of metal (to spread out the force), placed that against the outer fender, then used large channel locks to squeeze the tab in. I tried using a C-clamp at first but it was way too much work and the channel locks worked much better.
