Go to your local auto store and buy a quality Stant Thermostat. Shouldn't run more than $10 and is very good quality. A thermostat won't give you more performance or even better performance. I'm running a 180* Stant T-stat in mine, but I have my computer tuned, bigger injectors, bigger TB, cold air intake, colder plugs, high output ignition system.

If your engine is stock or close to it stay around the 180-190 deg range. Don't let somebody talk you into a 160 deg one-that will screw with your engine ECU logic.

Your 5.2L V8 is supposed to have a 195 degree thermostat.
