Heater Core 05 Grand cherokee.... how to?!?
Does anyone have a link for instructions for a heater core replacement for a 2005 Jeep Grand cherokee with a Hemi 4wd?

Outcome?
Just wanted to see if you had any luck on finding information about how to do this repair.
My 05 Grand Cherokee Limited 5.7 v8 also needs a new heater core and is leaking coolant into the front passenger floorboard.
Im waiting for a copy of the Haynes repair book to come in the mail but still unsure if I should attempt this myself. Autozone.com has an online instruction guide for this repair and makes it seem as though it isn't something I should do since I don't have the proper tools and equipment to drain and replace the AC refrigerant. If this isn't a necessary step I think I can do this on my own. Considering that the cheapest I've seen the part is $64 plus the cost of new coolant, it should be possible to do it for less than $150, but the few quotes I've gotten from repair places is between $400 and $1100.
So I'm really just curious as to the outcome of your repair. Did you have a repair shop do it or did you do it yourself and if so would you recommend others do it themselves also ? Any information would be extremely helpful, Thanks.

I would have it done at the place that gave you the lowest quote. You're going to open up a huge can of worms when it comes to removing the dash, and you run a big risk of destroying the dash in the process. Are you sure there is not some sort of recall or warranty that will cover this?
