Front long arm kit tire rub
Sup guys, so this guy just sold me this long arm kit for the front of my zj which is lifted about 4".
The thing is that after the install the axle has moved back about 3" and now every time I turn, my 31's rub against the fenders pretty bad, and the springs are bend back.
Before the install the tires cleared just fine and it was on stock upper and lower control arms.
Now he's telling me that in order to move the axle frontward I gotta change the pit arm to one made for a higher lift kit, and that the tie rod connecting the pit arm to the lower one's gotta be bent for everything to work??
any body's had this problem?? the pit arm swap makes sense but bending sh#t on the steering system???

I don't know how much adjustment they have on them the guy told me that he can bring em out by cutting and welding so I'm guessing they don't have much adjustment left, and adding the pit arm.
the kit had the transmission subframe lower arms and the upper ones that connect to the LA and axle that's it. I guess he bought it for his Cherokee but found out later he ordered the kit for a grand Cherokee

I think so, the transmission is bolted on the pre-drilled holes that the crossmember came with and I don't think you can move the transmission to the front or back? he did add that 1.5" block to it to clear the exhaust........ I don't know I think I might've wasted my money........took the jeep back to the shop the guy is supposed to fix the issue

Well good luck with getting it straightened out.
You should like the ride if you ge the axle in the righ location.
Let us know how it goes
