Default False rear light failure warning.

My 1994 is giving me a False rear light failure warning on the console. All of the lights work fine.
What gives?
Thanks

try the 3rd brake light. the bulb number should be 921, anything else and that warning comes on

Yep. The one in the top of the back window. There are 2 lights. One is out.
Thanks.

That still did'nt fix the problem. I even replaced the liscense plate bulbs and that did nothing. Starting to think its a glitch.

I recall reading something about this somewhere. I think the fix for the poster was a different type of bulb because 2 kinds worked, but one triggered the alert on the console. That's my 2 cents

Yeah. 2057's instead of 1157's. I'll give it a shot and let you all know. Thanks

Fixed!
The old brake bulbs were still working but when I took them out they basically fell apart. I put the 2057's in there.
However I still had the warning on the display. Upon further inspection one of the bulbs in the 3rd brake light had burned out. I just replaced one of them yesterday.
I think the Jeep was just having fun with me. It's got to razz it's new owner a bit. lol
